The Client

Mater Dei is an organisation based in Cobbitty providing education and therapy services for young people with an intellectual disability or developmental delay. We've worked with Mater Dei for many years and were excited when they approached us to help create the brand for a relatively new part of the Mater Dei organisation, Work and Community Pathways. Mater Dei Work and Community Pathways was a series of programs designed to provide opportunities for young people after finishing high school. In order to make the programs known and available to as many people as possible, Mater Dei knew they needed to create a strong brand for the programs. This is where they enlisted us.

Naming

We worked with the Mater Dei team extensively on every aspect of the brand, starting with the name. Having a working name, Work and Community Pathways, referred to colloquially as Pathways, meant that there were already strong ties to an existing identity. Our marketing and design team had the task of creating a new identity which related to the existing identity, but was still strong in its own right. Through several naming workshops and meetings, our team, along with the Mater Dei team, arrived at the new name; NextPath.

Collateral

With a new name and logo, NextPath needed a series of collateral to help launch the new brand. Our design team created business cards, letterhead, custom illustrations, signage for the Narellan location including window decals, wall art and a 3D sign, flyers, handbooks, table cloths, pens, pull up banners, social media assets, a landing page and a full website for NextPath.

Website

In order to create a digital presence for NextPath, we created a landing page which would direct users to make an enquiry. This helped the team in the interim before launching the full site, meaning they were able take their new brand to an industry conference before the official launch. We also created a full website for the brand which hinged on custom illustrations. These illustrations were designed to convey potential student goals, such as independently catching public transport and socialising with friends.
